School closures as a safety precaution and the summer months have led to children in need missing out on meals at school; for some, these meals are the only food source they would have all day. According to the USDA, 22 million children rely on the lunch that they receive at school, and 1 in 6 children in America are unsure where their next meal is coming from. The uncertainty of on-campus school this fall in most states will lead to added vulnerability for these households, and No Kid Hungry has been working diligently to provide them with as many meals as possible.
